Hibernating for the Winter

I’m turning into a mouse potato .

Its like couch potato but someone that sits at a PC for too long.

Given fact that I’ve been ill for two weeks
(DAMN! That’s a long while),
its easy to slip into a rut of medicated late sleep-ins when there are no early morning classes to attend. No need to wrap your books and runny nose into rainproof material to get your sorry ass to campus at 8am. . . bleh.
Cape Town’s miserable weather makes for awesome duvet days
(thanks to cluckhoff for this term), Team that up with movie or a marathon of series and Hey presto! … I’m already on the list of aspiring vegetables :) hehe

Not one like this though:

Manto is NOT a vegetable

Manto is NOT a vegetable

Takilla seems to have turned into a bedbug of late. Takilla has taken ill and its given him time to re-emerge in blogosphere with a new site, new template, all new words to fill up his space. (I should be offering better link-love…wait for it… you can visit him HERE)

The woes of being ill, differs from person to person. Its summing we need to accept. Climate change probably leads to some sort of non-fatal illness. You’ve been ill before, you will be ill again. Its like the tides, and change in seasons. You can’t alter it :) Yay for Vaccines :D

When I’m ill…

I can’t merge colours. I can’t get my clothing to match. My cooking sucks – maybe its coz my tastebuds are dead. I don’t want affection. I don’t want phonecalls. I just want meds, movies and some down time. I will have the most brilliant streak of creativity, but will be too miserable to harness the energy and transform it into something tangible. I become a social media spectator… surfing surfing browsing reading but not interacting.

Currently watching season 1 to 4 of House.

I am so crushing on DR Wilson…. And he’s not what I call cute!! :P

Anyhooo…

what’s your favourite series?

Recommend something?
I need the brain anaesthetic something new to watch.
I’m almost back to being a functional human being… stressing about the woes of life, finances, academics, and stretching the sociability index toooooo much… the next few weeks should be fun.

It is countdown to Ramadaan after all. And like everyone else… we try to pack in the joy coz we don’t acknowledge that there is life post Ramadaan. Hehe :D

I cannot believe you are crushing on wilson! it’s the main man hisself for me! the way those blue, blue eyes of his light up when he’s being incorrigible….

  2. Just wanting to say, that House is my favourite series. I can’t resist he’s sarcastic, yet charming, cynicism.
